The Ministry of Defence is one of ATG’s major clients. The Defence Ministry places strict demands on documentation. These demands are laid down in so-called operational requirements (PVE8000001 to PVE800003).
We are currently the official preferred documentation supplier for the Defence Material Organization’s Small Calibre Weapons and Optronics departments. This has been established in a few long-term contracts.
We have of course been screened by the military intelligence service MIVD and we have all the necessary weapons permits enabling us to carry out our work efficiently and independently.
A few examples of the documentation we have completed for the Defence Ministry and defence sector suppliers are:
The Long Range Rifle (LRR)
The LRR is the sniper’s rifle as used in several branches of the Army. There are several different versions and calibres of the rifle.
We have created a complete package of documentation for the LRR and its sights, including: 1TH, 3TH, 4TH, DL, 3DL, 4DL and ETH.
TACP
The Tactical Air Control Party, TACP for short gives ground troops the possibility of coordinating air support from the ground by indicating targets.
The TACP consists of a composition of aiming systems, communication equipment (night) sights, GPS units and equipment for indicating positions and a computer. The TACP handbook describes the various possible configurations and their operation.
We have also created wall maps for training purposes as well as the TACP handbook.
.50 gun mount
Although the 50 mm Browning was used for a long time by the Defence Ministry, modernizations are also being made here. In 2009, a completely new mount was developed for fitting the 50 mm Browning onto Mercedes Benz reconnaissance vehicles.
ATG documented this gun mount for the Defence Material Organization.
